Each moment we live never was before and will never be again. And yet what we teach children in school is 2 + 2 = 4 and Paris is the capital of France.
What we should be teaching them is what they are. … In all the world there is no other child exactly like you. … You have the capacity for anything.
Yes, you are a marvel.
-Pablo Casals

About Us
We build the foundations of your child's academic excellence by veering away from rigid abstracts and focusing instead on making learning an experience in itself. We build on children's natural curiosity to fuel their desire to learn. We are an alternative grade school. Keys is committed to providing progressive elementary education in the rich tradition and research-based standards of Bank Street College of Education . Some of our children were asked why they think the school was named Keys. Here are some of their ideas: “ Because it means opening kids’ minds ”
– Yumi Briones of 6’s and 7’s, SY 2006 “ Keys to open up and put in and to take out wonderful things ”– Tanya Yoon of 7’s and 8’s, SY 2006 “ The treasure is in your mind.”– Noah Soriano of 7’s and 8’s, SY 2006 See how you can send your child to our school. Click here . |
